KG M40 LOADOUTS

The integration of Warzone with Vanguard took place in December 2021, and all weapons from Vanguard were integrated into Warzone along with the arrival of the new map, Caldera. However, the KG M40 was not among them; it was added only with the release of Season 2, on February 14, 2022.

How to unlock the KG M40 in Warzone & Vanguard

To get this weapon, all you had to do was to level up the Season 2 Battle Pass to level 15, without any challenges.
If you missed Season 2 don't despair, you can still unlock the weapon but you will need to complete a challenge. KG M40 Assault Rifle can be unlocked by earning three double kill medals with an AR in a single match 15 times. It's not an easy task, but it can be done in Vanguard multiplayer.

Why is it so popular?

Many content-makers predicted that KG M40 would be a meta. It happened, but not immediately. In Season 4, the weapon became a pure meta:

• The large capacity of the magazine
• Incredible Accuracy
• Laser-beam shooting
• No recoil (very easy to control).

Recoil control on the KG M40 is easy, especially on a gamepad with an active aim-assist. Its only disadvantages are low maneuverability, average aiming speed and the size of the weapon itself (it overlaps the player's view).

Thanks to all its advantages, KG M40 became a favorite weapon of many players (most of them chose it for long-range combat according to the data collected from the matches). However, there are weapons that have a higher TTK, but the recoil control on the KG M40 negates this disadvantage.

What are the alternatives?

A current list of alternatives to KG M40:

• Cooper Carbin (closest alternative)
• STG.44 (much harder recoil)
• UGM-8 (even lower maneuverability, long reload time, but larger magazine capacity)
• Automaton

What maps to use it on?

The KG M40 is ideal for long-range combat on both Caldera and Fortune's Keep maps. For Rebirth Island this weapon is quite heavy and you should choose more maneuverable options.

What weapon to pair with the KG M40?

Due to the fact that it is quite a heavy weapon (maneuverability suffers), it is best to pair it with one of the SMGs. Do not pair it with a sniper rifle or shotgun under any circumstances.

SMG options:

• Marco 5 (Pure meta).
• Armaguerra 43 (Pure meta)
• H4 Blixen (nerfed, but still good, meta)

What perks and equipment should I choose for my KG M40?

Since this is one of the best options at long range, we strongly recommend using the Combat Scout perk, so you will not lose the enemy out of sight during extended firing. If you have no problem with long range shooting, take Amped instead of Combat Scout for quick weapon changes.

As for the rest of the perks, it's up to your taste. But we recommend the following combinations:

• Seprentine
• Ghost or Overkill or Restock
• Combat Scout or Amped

The best equipment to use would be:

• Snapshot or Stun grenades
• Semtex or Thermite
